Book Review "What on Earth Am I Here For?" by Rick Warren (part 4)

Hello again in my blog. So I want to continue the previous post about book review "What on Earth Am I Here For?" by Rick Warren. Here is the forth chapter of the book. Without any useless chit-chat, so here we go!

4. Made to Last Forever

     This life is preparation for the next (eternity). Actually, earthly body is just a tent, our future body in Heaven is our house. (2 Corinthians 5:1)
     Your relationship to God on earth will determine your relationship to Him in eternity.

"I once thought all these things were so very important, but now I consider them worth less because of what Christ has done." (Philippians 3:7)

     Every act of our lives strikes some chord that will vibrate in eternity. The most damaging aspect of contemporary  living is a short-term thinking. Bible say in Matthew 25:34 "We'll enjoy unbroken fellowship with God in eternity, unlimited, endless, forever."
     God offers you an opportunity beyond your lifetime (Psalm 33:11). In Hebrew 13:14 described that:
Death = door to eternity
Last hour in earth = birthday into eternal life
Earth = not our home
Heaven = our everlasting home

     Your time on earth is just a blink of an eye, but the consequences of it will last forever. Live each day as the last day of your life.

Question to Consider:
Why do you think God made us to last forever?
Why do we spend more time worrying about what won't last and so little time preparing for eternity, which will last forever?
What are you doing right now to prepare for an eternity?

POINT TO PONDER:
There is more to life than just here and now

VERSE TO REMEMBER:
"This world is fading away, along with everything it craves. But if you do the will of God, you will live forever." 1 JOHN 2: 13(NLT)

QUESTION TO CONSIDER:
Since I was made to last forever, what is the one thing I should stop doing and the one thing I should start doing today?
